In December 2016 the Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, gave a speech to the ARM on the occasion of 25 years of campaigning for a republic.
This is a sort of follow-up to my open letter to ARM Chair Peter FitzSimons. The speech is reproduced in full and I criticise it as innovation-free. Turnbull does, though, bluntly tell the ARM it has to produce the model, which is something I have been saying since the 1999 referendum.
The ARM will either host a discussion of models or it will stay as irrelevant as it has been for the last 20 years.
